What is Bridge?

Bridge is a real-time captioning solution that lets people with hearing loss make workplace phone calls and take part in online meetings with confidence. It consists of two parts: a physical device and an app.

Who is Bridge for?

Bridge is designed for professionals who have trouble hearing on phone calls or online meetings and need captions to understand the other party.

Is Bridge compatible with my company’s phone system?

Bridge is compatible with virtually every commercial VoIP phone system, including both desk and soft phones, and with popular video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. For a full list of compatible systems and platforms, see our Compatibility page.

Does Bridge work with video conferencing platforms?

Yes! Bridge can be used to caption meetings on popular video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.

Does Bridge support captioning in non-English languages?

Yes. Our captioning engine supports 75 commonly used languages including Spanish, Chinese, Filipino, French, Arabic, and Korean. Users can easily switch between English and another language during calls.

How much does Bridge cost?

Bridge costs $300/device, with either a monthly or annual subscription fee depending on the number of users and your company’s needs. For more information, see our Pricing page.

Is the Bridge app available for Android?

The app is only available for iOS right now.

Getting started

What do I need to use Bridge?

To use Bridge, you need three things:

A VoIP desk phone or computer
An iPhone or iPad
An internet connection

The iPhone or iPad will be used to display captions during calls. It can be either your personal device or a company-supplied one.

How does setup work?

Setup is simple: you connect the Bridge device to your work phone or computer, then download the app on the iPhone or iPad you want to use for viewing captions. (The iPhone or iPad can be either a company-supplied device or your personal one.) The software will guide you through activation and configuration.

Do I need to install new server equipment or network software?

No. Bridge is a plug-and-play solution that works with your current infrastructure — no backend integration is required.

How does Bridge connect to a phone or computer?

Bridge uses the same connections headsets do: Bluetooth, USB, or wired analog. The device comes with a USB cable.

What hearing assistive devices does Bridge work with?

Bridge works with any hearing assistive device that’s connected to the iPhone or iPad used for the mobile app. During calls, the audio will be streamed directly to the hearing aids, cochlear implants, or headset that the user is already comfortable with.

How many Bridge devices does my team need?

We recommend purchasing one Bridge device for each work phone that needs captioning.

If multiple employees share one phone, you would need just one device.
If one employee needs to use multiple phones, you may need more than one device for that employee.

Using Bridge

Can I continue to use my work number while I’m using Bridge?

Yes, Bridge works with your existing phone number. No number changes are required.

Will I still be able to use business phone features like call forwarding and transfers?

Yes. Bridge is designed to be a seamless addition to your workflow, so you’ll still have full access to the phone features you need for your job.

Are calls still subject to company policies while Bridge is in use?

Yes. With Bridge, phone calls are still subject to all company policies.

How do I manage my team’s licenses?

Our admin dashboard allows you to add or remove users, view usage, and manage subscriptions in one place.

What happens if I need to add a new user mid-month?

You can add users at any time. Billing is prorated to ensure transparency.
